Lapine was founded in 1962 by David S. Lapine, and has grown into one of the preeminent Retail Sales Representation and Premium and Incentive sales companies in the U.S. today.

Lapine's corporate headquarters are located in Stamford, CT, also the site of our warehouse and distribution facility, and more than 60 full time employees serve the needs of our retail and premium customers.

With a third generation of family ownership in place, Lapine maintains a firm commitment to the values and priciples upon which the company was built, while embracing the market trends and new technologies that will shape the company's future.

Lapine History

  • 1962: David S. Lapine founds the company at One Park Avenue in Manhattan. His first sales are a step ladder order to a national retail chain, and a drinkware premium on-pack for a major coffee brand. The enduring legacy of retail representation and premium / incentive sales begins...
  • 1964: Mark Lapine, David's son, joins the company as it continues to expand.
  • 1972: Lapine Associates, the distibrution arm of Lapine, is incorporated.
  • 1973: Lapine becomes Panasonic's first distributor to the premium and incentive market in the U.S., a relationship which continues to this day.
  • 1982: The company moves its offices and warehouses from Manhattan to Stamford, CT.
  • 1996: Noah Lapine, David's grandson, joins the company.
  • 1998: Lapine opens it's global sourcing operation in Southeast Asia.
  • 1998: Seth Lapine, David's grandson, joins the company.
  • 2000: Paul Lapin, David's grandson, joins the company.
  • 2003: Electronics distribution is expanded to with addition of the Sony, Sharp and Garmin brands.
